Dr. Fabian Ropohl LL.M. (Auckland)
Dr. Fabian Ropohl was born in Göttingen in 1975. He has passed his first state examination in law in 1999 after studying at the Universities of Kiel and Lyon. He did his legal in-service training preceding his second state examination, amongst others, with the 12th civil chamber of the District Court of Hamburg (intellectual property/competition law) and two law firms that are specialised in intellectual property and competition law. During his LL.M. studies at the University of Auckland he focused on intellectual property. His German dissertation covered questions of trademark law as well as private international law. Dr. Fabian Ropohl has been attorney at law since 2005. He worked for the Hamburg office of another lawfirm for two years before joining Heissner & Struck in 2007, where he has been partner since the beginning of 2010.
Dr. Fabian Ropohl’s practice areas are intellectual property law, namely trademark law, copyright law and press law as well as trade law and transportation law. He is member of the German Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property and Copyright Law (GRUR), the German Association for Transportation Law and the German Association for International Maritime Law.
