Intellectual Property Law
The area of intellectual property includes:
- Trademark law including rights to trade names, business symbols, work titles, and domain names
- Design rights
- Utility models
- Patents
- Competition law-related ancillary copyright
Our activities especially include the national and international registration of trademarks, trademark monitoring, representation in opposition and cancellation proceedings, and disputes regarding the infringement of trademarks, trade names, titles, Internet domains, business symbols, design products protected by design protection law or copyright, as well as technical property rights. We draw up and negotiate cooperation, development, licensing, and distribution agreements as well as prior rights and co-existence agreements.
In the area of technical property rights (utility models, patents), we work closely together with patent attorneys; furthermore, we also have a network of foreign law firms at our disposal with whom we work closely together, especially regarding foreign trademark applications and international infringement disputes.
