Design protection includes many strategic questions. Before registering designs for our clients on a national, European or international level (DE, IR und EU), we jointly define the object of protection, possible design variations and, in connection with this, the design protection strategy. We apply for design patents at the German Patent and Trademark Office (DPMA) and at the European level at the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). For international protection, we register trademarks with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), while working with cooperation partners in the relevant countries to provide reasons for national foreign protection.

We defend our clients‘ trademarks, titles, designs, Internet domains and company symbols in civil courts, in particular in preliminary injunction proceedings if quick legal protection is of special importance.

Out of court, we prepare and negotiate cooperation, development, licensing and distribution agreements as well as delimitation, priority and coexistence agreements.

In the area of technical protection rights, we work closely with specialist patent lawyers. This applies for both the justification for patent protection and utility patent protection and the defense of rights in civil courts.
